  • 149th Café de la Statistique

The specialised group "Statistics and Public Issues" of the SFdS organises the Cafés de la Statistique seven to eight times a year; these are evening debates on a wide variety of topical subjects in order to promote a dialogue between statisticians and the widest possible audience.

On the occasion of the 54th Journées de Statistique, the 149th Café de la Statistique will be organised in Brussels. It will take place on Thursday 6 July 2023, from 7pm to 9pm, in a private room on the 1st floor of the famous brasserie Le Roy d'Espagne on the Grand-Place in Brussels.

The Café will be introduced by Christine Wirtz, Director of Social Statistics at Eurostat, and will discuss the need for harmonised and comparable demographic data between EU Member States. For more details on the issues addressed during this Café, click here.

To ensure that the Café runs smoothly, those who would like to come and take part in the debate while enjoying a good Belgian beer and a Brussels speciality are asked to register by sending an e-mail to statcafe@sfds.asso.fr.
